Shaf Chowdhury

Meet Shaf, a skilled Exercise Physiologist with over 8+ years experience in the health and fitness industry. Shaf's treatment specialties include; strength and conditioning performance, musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation and chronic disease exercise management. Shaf is an avid gym enthusiast spending much of his time researching, participating in new courses or training in the gym himself. Shaf is a true believer in the quote "exercise is medicine". By applying his theoretical knowledge of anatomy and movement biomechanics, he empowers his clients to live life to their full potential.

Aleyna Celik

Meet Aleyna, our clinic manager with over 10 years experience in customer service. Working in the health industry for the past five years, Aleyna is a strong advocate for patient autonomy and empowerment. When not working at Concord Hospital as a Radiographer, she works hard behind the scenes to ensure a smooth transitioning business. She is approachable and will stick up for clients, putting their health and choices as a priority. She treats all of her client information with sensitivity and ensures all staff comply with protocols to ensure the wellbeing of clients and their families are maintained. If you ever have any concerns, she can be contacted by phone, email or in person in clinic.

Exercise Physiologist

Ethan May

Meet Ethan, our skilled and bright Exercise Physiologist with over 5 years of experience in the health and fitness sector. He deeply appreciates the comprehensive benefits of exercise, particularly its role in addressing chronic pain and enhancing mental well-being. Beyond his professional pursuits, Ethan enjoys exploring the Blue Mountains while hiking and indulging in fishing trips on his boat. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at WSU to augment his expertise, with a goal of integrating exercise-based therapies into acute and chronic injury care.

Exercise Physiologist

James Wise

Meet James, our caring Exercise Physiologist from UNSW who comes with a strong background in rehabilitation, strength and conditioning. He has experience working with athletes, children and the general population, helping clients improve performance, recover from injury and build long-term health.

With over 20 years of personal experience in parkour, calisthenics, weight training and snowboarding, James brings a deep understanding of movement into his practice. He is passionate about the role of exercise in supporting mental health and building strong, connected communities, empowering clients to move and feel their best!

Physiotherapist

Joey Cheang

Meet Joey, our Physiotherapist who combines her strong background in Exercise and Nutrition Science with her Masters of Physiotherapy to achieve the best outcomes for every individual she treats. 

 

Joey has experience across musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and neurological rehabilitation and delivers personalised, evidence-based treatment plans for a wide range of patients.

 

Joey also brings expertise in clinical Pilates, movement assessments and dry needling to help relieve pain, correct imbalances, improve posture, and optimise performance.

 

Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Joey uses her multi-linguistic skills to educate her clients so they fully understand their diagnosis, exercises, and recovery plan!

We are located within the DOOLEY'S Health and Fitness Gym providing Exercise Physiology and Physiotherapy services in the community of Lidcombe.

We work with clients who have Musculoskeletal injury in need of rehabilitation, neurological disorders (eg. stroke and Parkinson diseases), diabetes and other metabolic conditions.
